refreshing and cute

31 May

So its officially wedding season, and just how does one de-stress?  All the planning, organizing, selecting, the pressure that its easier to say yes to the guy than the centerpiece…….ImageId say a relaxing drink on the patio/balcony/doorstep is the way to unwind. Im trying this drink on my hubby this weekend. This also makes an amazing signature drink for a cocktail hour, bridal shower, or even a backyard bbq! Let me know what you ladies think?!

braid!!!

31 May

So the Hunger Games has inspired some major braid-age in the world of hair. Although the vintag-esque milkmaid and waterfall braids have been popular in updos over the last couple of years, ive had to get in some major braid practice in and im quite pleased with the outcome. Here is one of my simple favorites that was posted by Elsie @ A Beautiful Mess. And I looove Red Hair!!!! For the full how to click on the pic!!! ❤Image

Versus!

Okay so I am forever obsessed with Benefit’s Porefessional Primer. The consistency feels like magic on your skin and has the ability to mask fine lines and minimize pores, while giving you a fresh complexion. Its great for dry and oily skin and wont melt into your pores and make you break out like a lot of cream primers. So….its not the most economical  choice, so my next runner up is Revlon’s Photo Ready. It has the exact same consistency as porefessional, but you get twice the primer for around $12. Best part is its in a nice little glass container so your product wont absorb toxins from plastic when it heats up. Oh yeah!

Game on!

28 May

For those of you who know me, I graduated from the very well known Makeup Designory in Los Angeles. Ive been doing Makeup for over 7 years and i have been doing hair for 5. Being busy in the salon has resurrected some long term back issues ive had since i was quite young. I love doing hair and this has been pretty disheartening. This has left me to keep my eyes and heart open to new opportunities in the beauty world. I decided to create Milk & Honey. It is a beauty company that targets weddings and special events. As most of you know I have been busy working on my non -profit beginnings. Betties and Bullies will be shooting a calendar in late July and Milk & Honey will be doing makeup and hair (myself and a few other lovely talents!!!) This is a calendar that features gorgeous gals posing with some oh so adorable Pit Bulls and Bully Breeds! So excited. While color and cut is always going to be a part of my life, im hoping to take San Diego’s wedding industry to a level that collaborates vintage and modern looks. Thanks for reading and being a part of our beginnings!!! ❤ Mrs. Parker
